ANSWER TO BE TABLED ON TUESDAY, 5th DECEMBER 2006 Question

In relation to the Bellozanne incinerator, would the Minister advise –

  1. the approximate tonnage ofmaterialreceived for incineration inthelast12months;
  2. the annual cost ofrunning and maintaining the plant inclusive of ancillary services such as receiving refuse, weighing, salaries and pensions, etc.; and
  3. the amountof electricity generated perannum and its value? Answer
  1. I n the 12month period from November 2005 toNovember2006 the energy from waste plant has received and processed 76,161tonnes of waste.
