Question

“Will the Minister provide information on the number of

  1. officers employed in the Back to Work team; and
  2. individuals registered as unemployed who are seeking work?”

Answer

  1. There are 24 officers employed in the Back to Work team plus a further 4 working on the Foundations Programme. The Foundations Programme officers supervise a cohort of jobseekers whilst developing their skills through working on environmental, decorating and scanning projects.
  2. 700 as at 30/9/2023 see Actively Seeking Work statistics 3rd quarter 2023. Whilst this is the current level of those ASW, over the last 12 months there have been approximately 1800 unique individual job seekers registered atas actively seeking work.
