About

The Economic and International Affairs Scrutiny Panel (the Panel) conducted a review of Jersey's supply chain resilience, exploring the policies of the Minister for Economic Development, Tourism, Sport and Culture and the Government of Jersey, with a particular focus on:

  • Competition and diversification in the supply chain
  • Warehousing and stockpiling
  • Onshoring of the Island's supply chain
  • Government consultation with stakeholders

As a small Island jurisdiction, the transportation of goods to and from Jersey is crucial for the maintenance of the economy, so as part of the review, the Panel  examined occurrences of supply chain disruption and the impact on the business community. The review aimed to identify the arrangement, barriers to entry, and key opportunities and threats to Jersey's supply chain.
