States Greffe: Scrutiny
Senator Ian Gorst
Minister for External Relations and Financial Services By email
6th October 2021 Dear Minister
EIA Panel
Review of the Government Plan 2022 – 2025
I write to you following the recently lodged P.90/2021 - Government Plan 2022 – 2025 and to inform you of the Panel's intention to look further into various projects listed therein namely:
CSP3 - Vibrant Economy
• Continuation of External Relations funding
The Panel would be grateful if you could provide more information on the following: Continuation of External Relations Funding
• We note your Resources to Ministerial Portfolio funding drops from £12,284,000 in 2022 to £12,283,000 in 2023. What is the reason for this decrease and do you believe this funding is adequate to support the ever changing financial services sector?
• How is this funding broken down between External Relations and Financial Services?
It is the Panel's intention to use the responses to these questions for our upcoming Public Hearing on the Government Plan due to take place on Wednesday 20th October 2021. We apologise for the short notice but would be grateful if you could provide a response no later than 12 noon on Wednesday 14th October to enable us to review the information and compile additional areas of questioning, should it be necessary.
If you have any further questions regarding this matter or our work in general, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Yours sincerely
Deputy David Johnson
Chair
