Minister for Health and Social Services

BY EMAIL 18th July 2022

Dear Minister,

The Jersey Care Model

I am writing in relation to your recent announcement in the States Assembly, that you are intending to pause the work on the Jersey Care Model (JCM) in order to carry out a review of its spending and progress.

I would be grateful if you could firstly, confirm that pausing the JCM is still your intention. Secondly, if so, please could you provide the following information:

  1. The rationale behind the decision to pause the JCM.
  2. Details of the review you intend to carry out, including its main aims and objectives.
  3. The estimated timeframe in which the review is to be conducted and finalised.
  4. How you intend to publish the findings of the review.
  5. How you propose to involve and update the Panel in respect of this work.

I would be grateful if you could provide a response by 26th July 2022. If this deadline causes you any problems, please let me know.

Please note it is our intention to publish your response once received. Thank you in advance for your assistance on the matter.

Yours sincerely,

Deputy Geoff Southern
