Information Request – Clarification on Funding Cuts to Government Projects

Subsequent to your speech at the Chamber of Commerce business lunch on 11th January 2024, the Panel has become aware of your decision to reduce the funding to a number of Government public sector projects by £30 million for 2024. As no detail of this decision has been provided to the Panel and the impact of this decision is not clear, the Panel requests to receive all the details in that regard as soon as possible. Including for:

The process followed in reaching this decision and the engagement undertaken.

Detail of all the projects that will be impacted and the funding amounts that will be removed.

Whether an impact analysis has been undertaken to determine the outcomes of reducing funding for these projects in the manner that has been decided.

The Panel would be grateful to receive a formal written response as soon as possible and by no later than Friday 19th January 2024. Please be aware that it is the Panel’s intention to publish the response it receives on the States Assembly Website.
