I write to inform you that the Economic and International Affairs Scrutiny Panel has agreed to undertake a review of the Draft Unlawful Public Entertainments (Jersey) Regulations 202- (the draft Regulations) following referral to scrutiny under Standing Order 72.
The Panel will be undertaking this review in a short timeframe to allow for a return of the draft Regulations for debate on the 16th July 2024, as agreed by the States Assembly. Attached to this letter are the Terms of Reference for the Panel's review. You will note that the Panel's primary focus will be Article 6 of the draft Regulations, however we will provide any additional comments to aid consideration of the draft Regulations in full, where able.
Our Officer will be in touch with your department in due course to request any relevant documentation and it is anticipated that questions on this matter will be included with our previously scheduled Public Hearing of the 4th July 2024. We intend to invite submissions from relevant stakeholders, and we will publicise our review so that members of the public can submit information or views.
We look forward to working with you and thank you in anticipation of your assistance on this issue. Yours sincerely,
