To note and approve the records of the meetings held on 8th and 9th June 2020. SCRUTINY REVIEWS

  1. Teacher Recruitment and Retention Review
  1. To receive an update on the progress of the review
  2. To note and discuss the findings and recommendations arising from the review
  3. To note preparations for the publication of the report
  1. Covid-19 response
  1. To note and discuss the action logs for each Minister within the Panel's remit and to agree any areas or issues to follow up
  2. To receive an update on any legislative developments within the Panel's remit in respect of Covid-19
  3. To note a briefing paper with recommendations as to the next phase of the Panel's work in respect of the Government's recovery plan.
  1. Draft Covid-19 (Fixed Penalty Notices) (Jersey) Regulations 202- To receive an update on the progress of the review. ADMINISTRATIVE MATTERS
  2. Work Programme  

To note and discuss a proposed work programme for the remainder of 2020 and agree any further actions.

  1. To note an update on actions and projects examined by the Panel in the previous Government Plan Review
  2. To discuss and agree follow up questions in relation to the actions and projects in the previous Government Plan Review  
  3. To note preparations for the review of the upcoming iteration of the Government Plan 2021.  
  1. Deployment of Tasers by States of Jersey Police Officers

To discuss the briefing from Friday 19th June and agree any further actions.

  1. CYPES and Children's Commissioner Survey

To note arrangements for a briefing on the actions being undertaken in response to the survey.  

  1. Quarterly Public Hearing with the Minister for Home Affairs

To note the hearing with the Minister is due to take place on Friday 10th July and to note and discuss a draft question plan.

  1. Future Meetings

To note the Panels next meeting is due to take place at 10:15am on Monday 6th July 2020 via Microsoft Teams.
