To note and approve the records of the meetings held on 20th, 27th and 31st July.

SCRUTINY REVIEWS

  1. Teacher Recruitment and Retention Review
  1. To note the final report for Panel approval.
  2. To note and approve a draft news release for the presentation of the report.
  3. To note the next steps for the presentation of the report.
  1. Covid-19 response
  1. To note and discuss the action logs for each Minister within the Panel's remit and to agree any areas or issues to follow up.
  2. To receive an update on any legislative developments within the Panel's remit in respect of Covid-19.
  1. Change to Deployment of Taser by the States of Jersey Police Force
  1. To receive an update on the progress of the review.
  2. To discuss actions to follow.

  1. To note a draft scoping document and Terms of Reference for the proposed review.
  2. To discuss and agree actions to follow regarding the review.

To discuss and agree whether to bring a proposition to reverse the amendment or any actions to follow.

ADMINISTRATIVE MATTERS

  1. To receive a verbal update on actions arising from the previous meeting.
  2. To note the responses received regarding the work programmes for the Minister for Education and the Minister for Children and Housing.
  3. To note each Ministers' work programme and priorities going forward and to discuss areas to follow upor actions required.
  1. Government Plan update
  1. To discuss, in light of the Covid-19 crisis, a spreadsheet demonstrating RAG ratings  associated  with  projects  examined  by the  Panel  in  the  previous Government Plan Review. [to follow]
  2. To discuss and agree follow up questions in relation to the actions and projects in the previous Government Plan Review.
  3. To note preparations for the review of the upcoming iteration of the Government Plan 2021.
  1. Quarterly Public Hearing with the Minister for Home Affairs

To receive a verbal update on the follow up responses received from the Minister.

To note and discuss the draft question plan and confirm the questions areas to be shared with the Minister for the scheduled upcoming hearing with the Minister for Education on Friday 25th September.

To note the Panels next meeting is due to take place at 10:00am on Wednesday 26th August via Microsoft Teams.
