ADMINISTRATIVE MATTERS

  1. Procedural and Administrative Matters

To consider and make decisions, set out in the attached paper regarding the following:

  1. Vice-Chair
  2. Day and time of regular meetings
  3. Oral and written evidence
  4. Individual matters
  1. Declarations and Conflicts of Interest

Members will be asked to note the declaration of interests section in the Scrutiny and Public Accounts Committee Proceedings Code of Practice and consider declaring any relevant interests

  1. Working Practices
  1. To consider and agree the Panel’s future working practices, including consideration of Panel communication, use of Microsoft Teams, and the conduct of meetings  
  2. To note the Code of Practice for Scrutiny Panels and, in particular, the role of the Committee and Panel Officer  
  1. Scrutiny Member Training

To note that training for all Scrutiny and Public Accounts Committee Members on the Scrutiny Process will take place on Friday 6th July

SCRUTINY MATTERS  

  1. Work Programme
  1. To note the legacy report of the former Environment, Housing and Infrastructure Panel
  1. To consider background information on each Department and their upcoming work programmes and to discuss the Panel’s own work programme  
  1. Site visits / briefings with the relevant Ministers and Departments

To discuss setting up visits to the various departments and Ministers to meet with them personally and find out about the work that they do.

  1. Future Meetings

To note that the Panel’s next scheduled meeting is due to take place at 9:30am on Wednesday 17th August 2022 in the Blampied Room of the States Building subject to the Panel’s prior approval of the day and time of its regular meetings.
