To note and approve the record of the meeting held on 25th May and 1st ,5th, 8th and 12th June 2023  

REVIEWS

  1. Review of Income Support Overpayments
  1. To note the launch of the review, the sending of stakeholder letters to targetedorganisations and the receipt of any submissions.
  2. To receive an update from officers on the scheduling of a public hearing with theMinister for Social Security.

SCRUTINY/ADMINISTRATIVE MATTERS

4.  Briefings

a) To receive officers from Customer and Local Services for a private briefing at 10am on Income Support.

b) To note that the Panel is due to receive the following briefings:

28th June on Incapacity scheme

29th June on the Health and Community Services Turnaround Plan

c) To note that in line with a commitment made by the Health and Social Services Minister, briefings will also be scheduled in relation to Assisted Dying and the Healthcare Funding Poll.

 
  1. Correspondence

To note any response received from the Health and Social Services Minister to the Panel’s letter of 14th June which followed the Quarterly Hearing with the Minister held on 8th June 2023.

  1. Public Health

To discuss the Panel’s view of the draft Population Health Strategy and Action Plan and whether it wishes to undertake any work on this matter.  

  1. Work Programme
  1. To note and consider a paper on the Ministers for Social Security and Health and Social Services’ work programmes and associated timelines.
  2. To consider Member’s areas of interests for potential review topics.
  1. Future Meetings

To note that the Panel’s next scheduled meeting will take place at 10am on 13th July 2023 in the Le Capelain Room.
