1.  Record of Meetings

The Sub-Panel approved the records of its meetings held on 16th and 26th November 2012.

2.  Resignation

It was noted by the Sub-Panel that Senator S. Ferguson had officially resigned as a Member of the Sub-Panel on the 27th November 2012 due to other work commitments.

3.  Regulations Debate

The  Sub-Panel  recalled  its  decision  to  request  a  delay  to  the Regulations Debate, which was due to take place on January 29th 2013. The Officer informed the Sub-Panel that a response had been received from the Chief Minister's Department in which the request had been accepted. As a result, the debate has been rescheduled to take place during the 5th March 2013 States Sitting.

4.  Information request from H.M. Attorney General

The Sub-Panel recalled its agreement to send a letter to H.M. Attorney General requesting a copy of the report, that was received by the Privy Council, in regards to the Control of Housing and Work (Jersey) Law and register of Names and Addresses (Jersey) Law. The Sub-Panel was advised that H.M. Attorney General was unable to provide the Law Officers' Report in respect of either of the Laws due to the fact that it was privileged legal advice.

5.  Question Plans

The  Sub-Panel  discussed  the  draft  question  plans  for  the  Public Hearings with the Ministers for Housing and Economic Development in  detail  and  made  some  minor  amendments.  The  Officer  was requested to enact the changes to the question plans and circulate a final version to the Sub-Panel prior to the Hearings on 10th December

Deputy G. Southern notified the Sub-Panel of a number of factual inaccuracies  within  the  transcript  from  the  Public  Hearing  with Chamber of Commerce that took place on 26th November 2012. The Officer was requested to inform the transcribers of the errors that were made.
