02/08/12 Item 1 515/23 | 1. Aircraft Registry The Panel met to discuss its draft Aircraft Registry report, following notification from the Economic Development Department that it had received significant correspondence from the Minister for Commerce and Employment in Guernsey on the Aircraft Registry project that might impact upon the publication of the Panel's report, scheduled for 16th August 2012. The Panel was advised that clarification of the precise message of that correspondence had been requested from the Economic Development Department, but had yet to be received. The Panel agreed that it would temporarily delay publication of its report as it sought to clarify and establish the impact of the message that had been sent by Guernsey to the Minister for Economic Development. It further agreed that it would seek to meet the Minister for Commerce and Employment as part of a fact finding visit to Guernsey to discuss the Aircraft Registry and other identified joint working projects between the Islands, including Financial Ombudsman Scheme and ferry routes. | TO TO |
