Harbours and Airport Incorporation The Panel welcomed the Chairman, Harbours and Airport Shadow Board, the Group Chief Executive Officer Finance and the Business Resource Director, Ports of Jersey to a final briefing ahead of the States debate of P.70/2012 Incorporation of Ports of Jersey. A number of issues were raised by the Panel for discussion, including responsibilities relating to historic harbours, mooring fees, rates, the schedule of properties which would become the responsibility of the new company and staffing. It was noted that the Panel would present its comments through a speech by the Chairman during the forthcoming debate, outlining its in principle support for the incorporation whilst highlighting its concerns and the matters that it intended to review at the appropriate time as more detail emerged. | SL |
