30/07/13 Item 1 515/1(24) | 1. Ports of Jersey Incorporation The Panel received a briefing from Mr. N. Fox, Strategy Manager – Economic Development, and Mr. T. Rogers, Incorporation Programme Manager, on the current status of work in respect of the proposed incorporation of the Ports of Jersey. The briefing was provided in private session under Paragraph 3.2.1(a)(xiv) of the Code of Practice on Public Access to Official Information and a separate record was therefore taken. Subsequent to the briefing, the Panel considered the scope of its work in respect of incorporation. It was noted that the Panel could potentially divide its work into separate work-streams that would mirror the work-streams of the incorporation programme. It was agreed that the engagement of expert advice would be beneficial, particularly in respect of Human Resources and accounting matters, although it was noted that different advisors could potentially be engaged to assist with different work-streams. It was agreed that, in the first instance, the Chairman (and other Panel Members, as available) would meet the Scrutiny Officer in order to commence scoping the Panel's review. | SL / TO |
