Item 1 (Meeting 26) 30.01.13 | 1. Green Street Police HQ: Traffic and Parking The Panel met to discuss matters arising from the review and actions required to follow up evidence gained from recent public hearings. A number of lines of enquiry were considered and it was agreed that parking and travel issues had been shown to be critical to the successful development of the proposed new Police HQ. The Scrutiny Officer was asked to follow up various lines of enquiry, including requesting direct contact with the consultants who produced the Transport Assessment on behalf of Property Holdings. It was considered important to test the Panel's understanding of the survey data provided by the States of Jersey Police and to find out whether the consultant had carried out any independent detailed analysis of the information supplied. | MO |
Item 5 8.1.13 | 2. Pathway 2050: An Energy Plan for Jersey Following contact with the adviser commissioned by the former Environment Scrutiny Panel to carry out a review of the previous draft of the Energy Policy in 2011 the Panel discussed possible approaches to the review. It was agreed that this could start with a desk-top study by the adviser highlighting any issues requiring further attention and breaking down the proposals into short, medium and long term objectives. The Panel could then decide whether to follow up with further investigation of areas identified as needing more work. The Scrutiny Officer was asked to contact the adviser to request a formal tender for the task on this basis. | MO |
