28/02/14 Item 1 513/41 | 1. Interim Population Policy The Panel considered how it would like to progress forward with its review. It was agreed that the Public Hearing with the Assistant Chief Minister, that took place on 28th February 2014, raised some matters that the Panel wished to seek clarity from the Chief Minister on. In this regard, the Officer was requested to draft written questions to the Chief Minister, based on previous responses, and circulate to the Panel for approval. Consideration was given to the possibility of holding further Public Hearings for its review. The Panel was advised that it would challenging to complete the review within the timeframe that had been agreed in the Scoping Document if the Panel was to extend its evidence gathering deadline by any great extent. The Panel agreed to invite the Chamber of Commerce in for a Public Hearing as soon as possible following receipt of its written submission. The Officer was requested to enact the necessary arrangements. The Officer was further requested to draft a question plan for the Chamber of Commerce and circulate to the Panel for its review. | SM SM SM |
