06/03/14 Item 1 513/42 | 1. Public Sector Pensions The Panel received a revised draft Scoping Document, revised draft Terms of Reference and a revised draft Engagement Brief for its review of proposed reforms to the Public Employees Contributory Retirement Scheme (PECRS). It was noted that amendments had been made to the draft documentation to reflect suggestions made by the Vice- Chairman at the previous meeting; a previous agreement of the Panel that consideration be given during the review to the corresponding situation in other jurisdictions and the proposal that some consideration be given during the review to the effect that reform of PECRS would have on the repayment of the PECRS Pre-1987 Debt. The Panel approved the draft documentation, as well as the draft Project Plan (which had not been amended since its previous circulation) and noted that the Chairmen's Committee, and subsequently the Chief Minister, would be advised accordingly. | WM |
