07/05/14 Item 1 513/42 | 1. Public Sector Pensions The Panel received a copy of its draft report in respect of Draft Public Employees (Pensions) (Jersey) Law 201- (P.28/2014) and the proposed reforms to the Public Employees Contributory Retirement Scheme (PECRS). It was noted that the draft report comprised an introductory section from the Panel itself (in which the Panel's Key Findings and Recommendations were included) alongside the report from BWCI Consulting Limited. The Panel noted that comments on the Panel's introductory section were expected from its expert advisor. It was agreed to delegate responsibility to the Chairman for overseeing any further minor amendments that, in light of comments from the expert advisor, would be required. Subject to the above caveat, the Panel approved the report for presentation. The Panel was advised that the report would subsequently be distributed ahead of presentation to the States on 12th May 2014. | WM |
