Medium Term Financial Plan: review The Committee noted that the Corporate Services Scrutiny Panel was undertaking a review into the above, however, it considered how other Panels should be involved. The Committee considered whether to form a Sub-Panel of the Corporate Services Scrutiny Panel, co-opt a Member onto that Panel or whether that Panel should hold informal briefings to update others as appropriate. It was agreed that the Corporate Services Scrutiny Panel would consider the matter at its next meeting and advise the Committee of its decision. |

465/4(14) | 4. Privileges and Procedures Committee: update The Committee considered a briefing paper on the deliberations of the above Committee in particular in respect of the budget. It was noted that it was reasonable to expect a cut to the States Assembly budget, however, it requested a breakdown of the States Assembly budget. It was agreed that the Greffier of the States, in his capacity as Accounting Officer, would be invited to the April meeting to discuss possible budget cuts. | KTF |

Public Engagement The Committee considered ways to reach out to a wider audience and, notwithstanding that Scrutiny had previously administered a Facebook account which was closed by the previous Committee, requested that this be re-launched. The Committee was of the opinion that this would provide an alternative mechanism for advertising calls for evidence as well as reaching out to a different demographic. |
