Item 1 04.08.15 513/45 | 1. MTFP 2016 - 2019 The Panel welcomed Senator I.J. Gorst , Chief Minister, Senator P.F. Routier, Assistant Chief Minister, Mr P. Bradbury, Director of Corporate Policy and Mr C. Haws, Head of Financial Planning to a Public Hearing on the MTFP 2016 – 2019. The Hearing was recorded and transcribed. The Panel was advised of a meeting with the Fiscal Policy Panel (FPP) on 4th September 2015 in Cyril Le Marquand House. The Panel was also advised this was the day the FPP was due to present its MTFP report to States Members. The Panel discussed the timeline for its own MTFP report and was advised that its advisors were due to provide a draft report week commencing 1st September 2015 however, depending on the contents of the FPP report, they may have to be given additional time for revisions. The Panel agreed to amend the scheduled Quarterly Hearings with the Minister for Treasury and Resources and the Chief Minister on 7th September 2015 from Quarterly Hearings to MTFP Hearings to allow it capture any outstanding issues the FPP report may address. The Panel was reminded of its original date of 15th September 2015 to present its Report and the deadline for amendments to the MTFP of 22nd September 2015. The Panel was further advised that the presentation date of 15th September 2015 would be unrealistic given the date of the Hearings. The Panel noted this and agreed to present its report as soon as possible thereafter. The Panel discussed the possibility of bringing amendments to the MTFP and agreed to circulate ideas by email to the Officer who would liaise directly with the Chairman before further discussion with the Panel. | JH |
