Item 2 26.01.15 515/31 | 1. Ports of Jersey Incorporation The Panel met with Mr. D. Bannister, Group Chief Executive, the Deputy Chief Executive Officer and Director of Resources, the Deputy Director of Business Resources and the Human Resources Consultant of the Ports of Jersey, together with the Chief Officer and Strategic Policy Manager of the Economic Development Department for a detailed briefing on the business case for the incorporation of the Ports of Jersey. This part of the meeting was held in private session under Qualified Exemption Article 35 of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011. Following the briefing the Panel considered a draft list of possible witnesses for hearings for its review. It was noted that some witnesses might prefer to meet in private and others could be asked for written submissions as an alternative to attending hearings. The Scrutiny Officer was asked to contact relevant union representatives to enquire if they would be available to attend an early public hearing to discuss their views on the transfer of staff to the incorporated body. | MO |
