The Panel considered the Health Visitor assessment at 2 years old and questioned if that was sufficiently stringent to recognise the requirement for Special Education Needs in the children examined. The Panel also required that the Maternity Ward was contacted to establish what information and documentation was given to parents of new-borns where there was a diagnosis of, or the high risk of, the need for Special Education Needs. The Panel undertook preparation work for its forthcoming Public Hearing with the Minister for Education, Sport and Culture. | MR MR MR |
