1. Records of Meetings

The Panel noted and approved the record of its meeting held on 1st October 2015. The Chairman thereby signed the record accordingly.

2. Staff Recruitment and Retention Review

The Panel noted that it was due to hold a Public Hearing with the Director of Human Resources on Monday 19th October. The Panel discussed  a  list  of  questions  and  the  officer  advised  that  a  draft question plan would be circulated in due course.

The Panel noted that a written submission had been received from the Jersey Nursing Association and would be circulated in due course.

3. Zero-Hour Contracts

The Panel received the Jersey Farmers' Union for a Public Hearing. The  proceedings  were recorded  in  order  that a  transcript  could  be made.

The Panel noted that it was due to meet with the Chartered Institute of Personnel  and  Development  for  a  Public  Hearing  on  Friday  16th October.

The Panel requested that the officer arranged a Public Hearing with Rowlands Recruitment and ASL.

The Panel noted that the survey would end on Friday 23rd October and agreed it would subsequently analyse the results and then call in the Minister for Social Security for a Public Hearing.

4. Future Hospital Sub-Panel

The Panel noted that progress was being made with the review and that the Sub-Panel would next meet on Thursday 22nd October.

5. Shared Document Access/Livelink

The  Panel  agreed  that  all  documents  relating  to  Quarterly  Public Hearings would be available on Livelink.

 

 

6. Future Meetings

The Panel noted that its next scheduled meeting would take place on 29th October at 9:30a.m in the Le Capelain room, States Building.
