| 1. Review of Low Income Following the publication of the Jersey Household Income Distribution Survey, the Panel discussed undertaking a review on low income. The Panel noted that one of the key themes of the survey was that the average household income (after housing costs) of those in the lowest quintile decreased by a sixth (17%) in nominal terms over the last five years. The Panel agreed that a review would be undertaken and tasked the office to draft a Scoping Document for consideration. The Panel agreed that expert assistance would be required in order to analyse the results of the survey with key statistics on low income from the Social Security Department. |
