A2.  Conflicts of Interest

The Committee was advised that Deputy S.M. Wickenden had formally declined the offer of a role within the political oversight group with responsibility for the Public Sector Reform programme.

A3.  Work Programme

The Committee noted an updated report concerning the status of its work programme for 2015 and beyond.

Having noted that the response of the Chief Minister's Department to the Committee's report on the Public Sector Reform programme had been presented to the States, and having been advised that the Chairman was due to meet with the Chief Minister later on 7th December to discuss the Committee's work programme, the Committee recommended that the Chairman invite the Chief Minister to review his department's response to  the  Committee's  first  recommendation  and  consider  whether  the proposed implementation date of June 2016 might be brought forward.

A4.  Financial Management

The Committee considered an outline question plan for its first public hearing on 25th January 2016.

Having made a series of minor amendments to the outline question plan, endorsed  the  same  as  a  basis  for  its  first  hearing  and  invited  the Comptroller and Auditor General to brief the Committee during its next scheduled meeting regarding relevant sections of her report R.38/2015.
