1.  Seminar: Purpose and Impact of Scrutiny

The  Committee  welcomed  Dr.  Hannah  White  from  the  Institute  for Government in the UK, who facilitated a seminar on the purpose and impact of parliamentary scrutiny based on her recently published report Select  Committees  Under  Scrutiny:  The  Impact  of  Parliamentary Committee Inquires on Government'.

The Committee agreed that the seminar had been very informative and had raised discussion points that it would incorporate into forthcoming consideration  of  the  proposed  Statement  of  Intent/Core Values/Objectives.

The Committee placed on record its thanks to Dr. White.
