Item 1 07/12/16

3.  Future Hospital Funding Strategy

The Panel noted receipt of a letter from the Minister for Treasury and Resources proposing a delay of two weeks to the debate on the Future Hospital Funding Strategy.

The Panel was advised that based on indications from potential advisors, a delay of two weeks would not be sufficient to enable it to complete a review. In light of this, it was agreed to write to the Minister to seek a delay to the debate of four weeks. The Officers agreed to draft a suitable letter and circulate to the Panel for comment.

The Officers were requested to prepare a timeline of key events to date in relation to the hospital funding proposals.

The Panel agreed to meet again on 15th December 2016 to discuss this review.
