Item 1 21/07/16 513/50 | 1. MTFP Addition The Panel welcomed Senator A.J.H. Maclean, Minister for Treasury and Resources, Mr R. Bell, Treasurer of the States, Mr D. Peedle, States Economist and Mr C. Haws, Head of Financial Planning to a private meeting to discuss the recent report from the Fiscal Policy Panel (FPP) in relation to the referendum result in the United Kingdom to exit the European Union (Brexit). Matters discussed included the role of the FPP as defined in law and the advice contained within the FPP's report. The Panel discussed its review and agreed that as its advisors, CIPFA, will report on the detail within the MTFP, the Panel's work should focus on key policy issues. The Panel requested a briefing document be drafted and circulated to indicate the key areas of policy within the MTFP Addition asking if they were deliverable and sustainable. | JH |
