Item 1 08.07.16 516/36(3) | 1. Medium Term Financial Plan Addition The Panel welcomed Mr N. Corbel who explained how the MTFP was expected to impact on his members, with particular focus on those within Education and Home Affairs. The main concern was that the MTFP was progressing a creeping privatisation of areas such as cleaning. This was particularly poor because the cleaners in schools tended to be more than just cleaners, they were a part of the school community and did so much more than just the cleaning. If the work was outsourced, there were many other areas that would be impacted upon. Of serious concern to Mr Corbel was the apathy which his members seemed to show in relation to the MTFP. |
