516/46 Item 2 05.10.16 (Previously Higher Education) | 1. Tertiary Education: Student Financing The Panel considered an overarching piece of work relating to Tertiary Education and recognised that this was a huge undertaking which would be difficult to progress as one piece of work. It agreed to undertake a smaller piece of work by looking at student financing. It considered scoping documents, a timeline and terms of reference which were approved. The approval included financial considerations: Transcription costs at £600 per day: 4 days = £ 2,400 Advertising £ 2,000 3 X advisors at up £1,000/day for 15 days each £30,000 Travel and expenses for advisors £ 2,000 Visit to other jurisdiction. £ 9,000 Total = £45,400 The documents were to be circulated to the Chairmen's Committee for approval. | MR |
