06/10/16 Item 2 517/23 | 3. Future Hospital Sub-Panel The Officer updated the Panel on the progress of the Future Hospital Sub-Panel. It was noted that the Sub-Panel had met with the Minister for Treasury and Resources on 17th October for a briefing on the funding for the new hospital. It was also noted that the Council of Ministers had lodged P.110/2016 "Future Hospital: Preferred Site" which was due to be debated on Wednesday 30th November. The Panel noted that the Sub-Panel was due to publish an interim report which would include two of its advisor's reports. The Sub-Panel would be discussing the matter further at its next meeting. |

10/10/16 Item 1 517/35 | 6. Service Users of Home Care Review The Panel received a document from the Health Department detailing the instructions for law drafting regarding the new flexible personal care component. The Panel tasked the Officer to organise a Public Hearing with the Minister for Health and Social Services, the Head of Adult Services and the Officer with responsibility for the flexible personal care component. It was agreed that the Hearing could be organised for 10th November in place of the next Quarterly Hearing. The Panel requested a detailed accounting analysis of the savings made by Health and how the remaining subsidy would be divided between District Nursing and Rapid Response and Reablement. The Panel also requested a copy of the Service Level Agreement between Health and Family Nursing and Home Care if available. It was noted Senator S.C. Ferguson was currently a trustee of Age Concern. The Officer explained that it was not envisaged that the review would extend to corresponding with Age Concern, however, it was agreed that the matter would be raised again once the Panel started its main review of the Long-Term Care Scheme. | AH AH |
