1. Records of Meetings

The Sub-Panel noted and approved the records of its meetings held on 15th  and  17th  March  2016.  The  Chairman  thereby  signed  them accordingly.

2. Size of Hospital: Briefing

The Sub-Panel received a private briefing from the Department on the size of the hospital. It was noted that the Sub-Panel had requested a briefing to be advised of the following:

  • Size of the hospital
  • Clinical adjacencies
  • Physical requirements when considering sites

This briefing was held in private in accordance with the Freedom of Information  (Jersey)  Law  2011  (as  amended)  under  Qualified Exemption Article 35.

3. Action and Requests update

The Sub-Panel noted the list of actions and requests.

4. Review Plan

The Sub-Panel received a draft review plan for its preliminary review. It was noted that the Sub-Panel would aim to present its report in July 2016.

5. Advisor

The Panel received a letter from Concerto which outlined how it would produce the desktop study on off-island and on-island services. The Sub-Panel  agreed  that,  before  Concerto  were  formally  engaged  to undertake this piece of work, a conference call would be organised to discuss  the  objectives  further.  The  Sub-Panel  requested  that  the conference call take place on Thursday 28th April at 1:30pm. The Officer advised that the call would be confirmed as soon as possible.

6. Future Meetings

The Sub-Panel agreed that it would next meet on Thursday 28th April at 1:30pm in the Le Capelain room, States Building for the conference call with Concerto.

The Sub-Panel agreed to cancel the next scheduled meeting on 5th May in order to allow the Health and Social Security Panel to undertake work on its review of Living on a Low Income.
