1. Public Hearing with the Minister for Health and Social Services

The  Sub-Panel  noted  that  the  Public  Hearing  with  the  Minister  for Health and Social Services was scheduled to take place on Friday 4th November 2:30 – 5:00pm. The Sub-Panel requested that the Blampied room was used for the Hearing.

The Sub-Panel received a draft question plan and discussed the order of  questions  and  additional  areas  to  ask  the  Minister.  The  Officer advised that the plan would be updated and recirculated to the Sub- Panel.

2. Advisor Visit

The Sub-Panel noted that its advisor, Mr S. Foot from Concerto would be visiting Jersey on Thursday 3rd November. The Sub-Panel was scheduled to meet Mr Foot at 10:00 – 12:30. The Officer advised that Mr Foot was also scheduled to meet the Hospital Director and Project Officer at 1:30 – 3:00pm. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss preparations for the week commencing 7th November when Mr Foot, Ms J. Austin and Mr B. Yardley of Concerto would be visiting the Island to undertake their main review of the project.

The Sub-Panel was advised that three late afternoon meetings had been  scheduled  in  the  diary from  7th -  9th November  in  order for Concerto to de-brief the Sub-Panel at the end of each day of interviews. The  Officer  confirmed  that  meeting  requests would  be  sent  in  due course.

3. Sub-Panel Interim Report

The Sub-Panel noted that the Interim Report would be presented as a formal  Scrutiny  report.  The  Officer  explained  that  the  Health

 

 

 

Department had requested the 5 day turnaround for factual checking as per 11.7 of the Code of Practice. In that regard, it was noted that the earliest date the Sub-Panel was able to present its report was Thursday 3rd November. It was agreed that the Officer would liaise with the Sub- Panel once the comments had been received.
