511/2/1 | 1. Progress of Review The Panel discussed the progress of its Review to date, and considered a number of steps aimed at completing its evidence gathering and re- establishing the public profile of the Review, ahead of completion of its report. Actions considered included a targeted approach to key stakeholders, alternative formats of public and stakeholder engagement, updating the communications strategy and seeking expert technical advice. It was considered that such advice could, in particular, assist the Panel's work on comparisons with relevant processes in other jurisdictions. The Panel requested that the necessary steps to update the scoping document and to identify potential candidates for the role of adviser should be undertaken. This would include the drafting of an engagement brief. It was agreed that the draft documents would be circulated for the attention of the Chairman in the first instance, subject to which they would be distributed to the Panel for its consideration. It was noted that under the terms of reference for the work of Review Panels, revision of the scoping document would be subject to final approval by the Chairmen's Committee The Panel was advised that, in view of the potential scope of the work identified, the Head of Scrutiny would establish appropriate Officer support for the Panel and update accordingly. | TO TO |
