Item 3 30/10/17 513/56 | 1. Draft Marriage and Civil Status Law The Panel continued its review of the Draft Marriage and Civil Status (Amendment No.4) (Jersey) Law and identified a number of areas that required more detailed consideration. The Panel noted that it had received a letter from the Comité des Connétable s raising a number of points in relation to the draft law. Recalling that the Chief Minister had lodged an amendment to the draft law the previous day, the Panel noted that a number of the amendments addressed areas of concern raised in the letter. It was agreed to write to the Comité to thank it for the submission and enquire whether the amendments lodged by the Chief Minister satisfied its concerns. |
