Item 2 20/10/2017 | 1. Income Forecasting Model The Panel noted receipt of a copy of the Income Forecasting Model used by the Economics Unit. The Panel asked the Officer to prepare a scoping document for a possible review of the Model, including engaging appropriate independent technical advice to assist it with the review. |

| 2. Castle Quay Phase 2 Following a request made to the Treasury Department, the Panel received a confidential Ministerial Decision Report in relation to Castle Quay 2. It was noted that the report had been redacted in various places and, in consideration of the usual arrangements for the provision of confidential information to scrutiny panels, it was agreed to request an un-redacted version of the document. |

Migration Policy It was noted that R.134/2017, Migration Policy, had been presented to the States on 8th December 2018 and was due to be lodged in January 2018 for a debate by the States Assembly on 6th March 2018. The Panel discussed possible options for undertaking a review of the policy, noting interest that had been expressed by members of other scrutiny panels to be involved in such a review. It was agreed to explore further the option of establishing a sub-panel to undertake the review. |

Item 1 08/12/17 | 4. Draft Marriage and Civil Status (Jersey) Law Review The Panel discussed emerging points from its review which could lead to amendments to the draft law. A number of areas for amendments were discussed. It was agreed that further advice on a number of aspects of the law would be sought and the Chairman was authorized to review the draft instructions to be drawn up by the Officers. |

| 5. Public Finance Law changes The Panel was joined by members of the Chairmen's Committee and received a briefing from Officers from the Treasury and Community and Constitutional Affairs Departments on a confidential Council of Ministers paper. |
