Budget – Phase 1 Review Noting the work that had been carried out by its advisor, MJO Consulting, in relation to the review of the Income Forecasting Model, the Panel agreed to request a briefing from the Economics Unit on the Model. It was considered that this would also be informative for the Panel's review of the Draft Budget 2018. It was further agreed to arrange to meet with the Panel's advisor, MJO Consulting, prior to the briefing to discuss their report on the Income Forecasting Model. | SS SS |
| 3. Budget 2018 It was noted that the Draft Budget 2018 had been lodged by the Minister for Treasury and Resources and was due to be debated by the States Assembly on 28th November 2017. The Panel agreed to approach MJO Consulting to provide advice for its review of the Draft Budget, building on their work for the Budget- Phase 1 review. The Panel also gave consideration to possible advisors who could assist with other parts of the review. It was agreed to approach the Chartered Institute for Public Finance and Accountancy to provide expert advice on the financial planning elements of the Draft Budget. | TN TN |
