1.  Brexit

The Panel received a private briefing from the Minister for External Relations regarding the recently lodged P.7/2017 (Brexit Report: steps taken  by  the  Government  of  Jersey  before  Notification  by  the Government of the United Kingdom under Article 50 of the UK's intention to withdraw from the EU).

The Panel considered a request by the Minister in relation to the early debate of P.7/2017 and agreed to communicate back to the Minister that it would not raise an objection to the Minister requesting the States Assembly to consider reducing the lodging period, although recognising that the final decision would rest with the Assembly.

2.  Quarterly Public Hearing

The  Panel  welcomed  the  Minister  for Treasury  and  Resources,  his Assistant Minister, the Treasurer of the States and Officers to a quarterly public hearing. The hearing was recorded and transcribed.

3.  Future Hospital Funding Strategy

The Panel agreed to hold a conference call with its advisor, Opus Corporate Finance, during its scheduled meeting on 13th February.
