1.  Jersey International Finance Centre (JIFC)

The Panel attended the offices of the States of Jersey Development Company in order to review certain documents relevant to the review.

The Panel subsequently discussed the progress of the review and the possibility  of  publishing  an  addendum to  its report  in relation  to the additional documents it had been provided access to.

2.  Future Hospital Funding Strategy

The Officers provided the Panel with an update regarding the status of the advisors' reports.

The Panel then discussed the question plan for the forthcoming public hearings with the Ministers for Treasury and Resources, Health and Social Services and Infrastructure.

3.  The Law Society of Jersey Law 2005: Amendment

The Panel received a briefing from Departmental Officers and the Chief Executive Officer of the Law Society in relation to P.136/2016 (Draft The Law Society of Jersey (Amendment No.4) Law 201-.

Following the briefing, the Panel agreed to work towards publishing a Comments  Paper  prior  to  2nd  May  2017  outlining  the  work  it  had completed on the matter.

As part of finalising its work, the Panel also agreed to contact States Members who had indicated concerns in relation to P.136/2016 and invite

 

 

 

any  further  comments  in  relation  to  the  proposals  set  out  in  the Proposition.
