2. Quarterly Public Hearing

The Panel  welcomed the Minister, Assistant Ministers, Director and Assistant Directors of the Economic Development, Tourism, Sport and Culture Department for a Quarterly Public Hearing. Topics discussed included:

  • Tourism Development Fund
  • Draft Tourism Law
  • Waste (Water) Charges
  • Inter-Island ferry and replacement for Condor Rapide
  • Aircraft and Shipping Registries
  • Rural Economy Strategy
  • Minimum wage
  • Culture strategy
  • Other Economic Development activity (funding for new Retail Association and Super League Triathlon event)
