1. Visit to Police Headquarters

The Panel attended the new Police Headquarters for a tour of the facilities with the Minister and Assistant Minister for Home Affairs.

2. Draft States of Jersey Police Force (Amendment No.2) Law 201-

The  Panel  received  the  Minister  for  Home  Affairs,  Chief  Officer, Community and Constitutional Affairs, Deputy Chief Officer, States of Jersey  Police,  Superintendent,  States  of  Jersey  Police,  the  Law Draftsman and the Executive Officer of the Jersey Police Authority for a private  briefing  relating  to  the  Draft  States  of  Jersey  Police  Force (Amendment No.2) Law 201-.

The Panel noted that the draft law was due to be debated on Tuesday 18th July 2017 and agreed to issue a comments paper for consideration by the States Assembly. The Officer advised that a draft would be circulated in due course for Panel approval.
