The Draft Criminal Procedures (Bail) Law 201- The Panel welcomed officers representing the Home Affairs section of the Community and Constitutional Affairs Department to the meeting and received a briefing relating to a proposition which was due to be lodged with the States Greffe in the week commencing 5th June 2017. The Draft Criminal Procedures (Bail) Law 201- deals with the bailing of offenders and puts accepted practice in the courts that has been without a legal basis for some years, into legislation. The Panel will receive a copy of the proposed legislation when it is lodged and will decide on the appropriate action at that point. | MR/AH |
