05/10/17 Item 2 514/30 | 2. Draft Public Health and Safety (Rented Dwellings) (Jersey) Law The Officer circulated draft Comments to the Panel for its consideration. The Panel identified additional areas which it wished to address in the Comments. The Panel recalled that, at the meeting with the Minister for the Environment and his Officers on 13th November, it had made a number of suggested Law changes. The Officer was requested to follow up this matter with the Department and ascertain its intended actions. The Officer was further requested to write to the Minister for Housing regarding the Residential Tenancy (Jersey) Law 2011 to establish whether she foresaw any potential conflicts with the draft Health and Safety (Rented Dwellings) Law 201-. The Panel agreed to provide the Officer with any suggested changes on the draft Comments by Monday 27th November. The Panel further agreed that it would undertake a review of the draft Regulations next year, if the draft Health and Safety (Rented Dwellings) (Jersey) Law was approved at the States sitting on 12th December. | SM SM |
| 3. Jersey Infrastructure Levy The Panel considered the draft Comments that were circulated prior to the meeting in respect of the proposed Jersey Infrastructure Levy. The Panel suggested a number of amendments for the Officer to enact. The Officer was requested to circulate the final draft Comments once the amendments had been made. | SM |
| 4. 2018 Meeting and Hearing Schedule The Panel approved its meeting schedule for the remainder of the current political term. It noted that the last Panel meeting in 2017 was due to take place on 7th December and the first meeting in 2018 on 11th January. |
