19/10/17 Item 3 517/37 | 1. Redesign of Health and Social Services Governance Model The Panel received a draft report for the Redesign of the Health and Social Services Governance review. The Panel discussed the report and agreed changes. The Officer advised that a draft reflecting these changes would be circulated the following day. It was noted that the report would need to be sent to stakeholders on Monday 30th October to allow five days for factual accuracy checking as per the Code of Practice for Scrutiny Panels and the Public Accounts Committee. The Panel agreed that it would look to bring an amendment to P.60/2017: "Health and Social Care System: A New Governance Model", which would stipulate a start date for the proposed System Partnership Board of no earlier than 1st April 2018. It was noted that this amendment would allow the Minister for Health and Social Services time to undertake the necessary work to implement the model successfully. In the event that sufficient progress was not made by the 1st April 2018, it would allow the Panel the opportunity to bring a proposition requesting the Minister to bring forward new proposals. The Panel noted that the deadline for submitting this amendment was Monday 30th October and therefore agreed to produce a report for approval by Friday 27th October. | AH AH AH |
