1. Records of Meetings

The Panel noted and approved the record of its meeting held on 23rd November 2017. The record was signed by the Vice-Chairman.

2. Long-Term Care Scheme

The Panel received an update from the Officer in relation to its draft report. The Panel noted that a draft would be received before the end of December and discussed in January.

3. Future Hospital Review Panel

The  Panel  noted  that  the  Review  Panel  had  presented  its  report  - S.R.13/2017 "Future Hospital Project" - on 6th December 2017.

4. Care of Children in Jersey Review Panel

Senator S. Ferguson provided an update on the work of the Review Panel. It was noted that a Public Hearing with the Chief Minister had been organised to take place on 8th December 2017.

5. Disability Discrimination Regulations

The Panel noted that it had received a letter from the Minister for Social Security dated 1st December 2017. The Minister had invited the Panel to attend  a  briefing  with  the  Department's  expert  advisor.  The  Panel accepted the invitation and noted that the briefing would be organised to take place in January.

The Panel noted that the consultation report was currently being drafted by the Department. The Panel requested that this was received before the briefing as well as any other supporting documents.

 

 

6. Meeting Schedule 2018

The Panel noted and approved its meeting schedule for 2018.

The Panel also noted that two Quarterly Hearings had been organised to take place in March with the Minister for Health and Social Services and Minister for Social Security.

 

 

 

7. Future Meetings

The Panel noted that its next scheduled meeting would take place on 11th January 2018 at 9:30a.m in the Le Capelain room, States Building.
