07/12/17 Item 2 517/36 | 2. Long-Term Care Scheme The Panel received its draft report. The Panel requested changes to the report and areas to follow up with the Social Security Department in relation to the Scheme. The Panel agreed to meet on 15th January to continue discussing the report. |

| The Panel noted a briefing paper from the Health and Social Services Department which explained the following mental health Regulations: Mental Health (Guardianship) (Jersey) Regulations 201- Mental Health (Independent Mental Health Advocates) (Jersey) Regulations 201- Mental Health (Consent to Treatment - Children) (Jersey) Regulations 201- Miscellaneous Consequential and Transitional Regulations (title to be confirmed) The Panel agreed that a briefing should be organised with the Department and requested that advanced copies of the Regulations were received beforehand. The Panel agreed that it would discuss what scrutiny work was required after the briefing had taken place. | KB |
| 8. Organ Donation Legislation The Panel was advised that the law on organ donation had been drafted by the Health and Social Services Department. The Panel requested that a briefing was organised and that an advance copy of the draft law was received beforehand. The Panel agreed that a review should be undertaken on the draft law. Regulation of Care (Regulated Activities) Regulations and Regulation of Care (Standards and Requirements) Regulations The Panel noted advice from the Chief Minister's Department that it was unlikely the Regulations would be lodged before the elections due to the Department undertaking further consultation with stakeholders. |
