Engagement of Expert Adviser for Review of the Fiscal Strategy

The Corporate Services Panel has appointed an adviser to assist with the review of the proposed legislation for a Goods and Services Tax for Jersey and for the implementation of the zero/ten corporate taxation model, together with the proposed look through' proposals.

The adviser is Mr. Richard Teather, who is Senior Lecturer in Tax Law at Bournemouth University, where his teaching includes specialised courses in international tax and VAT, as well as standard business tax.

Mr. Teather writes regularly on a range of tax issues and is a frequent speaker at conferences.
