Deputy Richard Renouf ,
Minister for Health and Social Services BY EMAIL
19th January 2022 Dear Minister,
Health and Social Security Scrutiny Panel: Appointment of Chair to the Independent Board overseeing the Jersey Care Model
During question time of the States Assembly meeting on 18th January 2022, in response to a question from Deputy Pamplin (following O.Q.5/2022), you indicated that a Chair has now been appointed to the independent non-executive board which is in place to oversee the Jersey Care Model (JCM).
As you will be aware, the Panel has kept the progress of the JCM under review since the approval of P.114/2020 and has requested to be kept up to date with relevant developments. Therefore, the Panel would like to express its disappointment that it was not informed about the appointment of the Chair to this board, prior to this news in the States Assembly.
We would like to request a meeting with the newly appointed Chair at the earliest convenience and would be grateful if your officers could revert with suggested date(s).
I would appreciate if you could direct any correspondence through our Committee and Panel Officer (Katherine de Carteret, k.decarteret@gov.je) or our Research and Project Officer ( Ben Walker , b.walker2@gov.je).
Thank you for your assistance in this matter, we understand that this is a busy time for your department. I would kindly request a response by Friday 21st January 2022.
Yours sincerely,
Chair, Health and Social Security Scrutiny Panel
