The following breakdown was provided to the Panel by the Minister for Housing
and Communities by email on 4th November 2022. It being noted that at that time the Customer and Local Services (CLS) budgets were still subject to confirmation:
Strategic Housing and Regeneration team (SPPP)
Ongoing funding of £250,000 per annum for Strategic Housing and Regeneration team
Vacant homes (SPPP)
A total of £250,000 for 2023 to explore opportunities to bring vacant homes back into active use.
Housing policy (SPPP)
£150,000 for ongoing housing policy work.
Shelter (CLS)
An extra ongoing £300,000 pa to increase the grant for Shelter Trust.
Consistent with the recommendations of the Homelessness Strategy and is being used by Shelter Trust to meet staff resource requirements and operational costs.
Homelessness services (CLS)
Ongoing £120,000 pa for staffing and £60,000 pa for additional costs to support services.
Housing Advice Service (CLS)
Ongoing £110,000 pa to run the Housing Advice Service
Rents (CLS)
